A Few of my Favourite Things
My Morning Cup of Coffee:
Collagen infused AKA "Bulletproof" coffee has been a daily ritual in our house for years now. Bulletproof coffee not only gives you energy but also supports your digestive health, helps you manage your blood sugar, and aids in weight loss. Read more here.
To make: 1 tsp of MCT oil, 1 scoop collagen, 1 tsp grass fed butter and a splash of cream (optional). Blend it all together to make it all frothy and yum!
My go-to Smoothie:
1/2 cup fresh or frozen berry blend
1/4 cup fresh or frozen avocado
1/2 a banana
1 tsp Bend Beauty Renew + Protect (or other omega oil)
1 TBSP full fat yogurt
1 scoop of greens
1 scoop of plant based protein powder
1 cup water
My Favourite Mocktail:
1/2 Cup Ginger Beer
1/2 Cup Lemon/Lime Bubly
Mint
(Optional: 1 ounce Vodka)
My “Famous” Energy Bites
These power bars are packed full of protein, seeds, and oats and keep me fueled during my afternoon lulls. PLUS even I can make these on a Sunday night with 6 extra hands throwing ingredients in the bowl (and my husband eating the mix faster than I can make them!) without burning the house down.
Five Minute Journal:
I've always loved to journal. For years I would spend time on Sunday nights curled up in bed writing about my week. Now, I take 5 precious minutes to jot down a few things about the day I've had and the day I WANT to have. Appreciating the day you've had and setting intentions for your day ahead can be a real game changer!
Books:
I enjoy having at least two books on the go at once. Losing myself in a fiction novel in the bath - usually something that involves dreaming of Nantucket Island by Elin Hildebrand and also enjoying something that stimulates personal development like James Clear's Atomic Habits or The Gap and The Gain. These are the kind of books that I have underlined, dog-earred, and will keep referring to for years to come!
Exercise Program:
During these busy months, I find it harder to commit to longer workouts. I love the Job1 program from Beachbody as it offers 20 minute workouts, start to finish, that give me focused, challenging movement in a short time.
